Un semplice busto ricorda il volto serio e stanco del generale Montù, che fu soldato e storico ufficiale dell’Artiglieria, legato all’arma da oltre mezzo secolo di servizio. Appassionato di sport, fu tra i fondatori del Coni (1914) e, più tardi, presidente della Federazione Italiana di Canottaggio, disciplina che, per felice combinazione, si pratica a due passi dal busto a lui dedicato.

A simple bust to commemorate the serious and tired face of General Montù, a Soldier and historical Officer of the Artillery Corps he was attached to in over fifty years of service. A lover of sports, he was one of the founders of the Italian National Olympic Committee in 1914 and later Chairman of the Italian Canoeing Federation, a sport that by lucky chance is practised just a few paces from the bust dedicated to him.
