Autore: Luigi Quarenghi • notizie dal 1851
Luogo:
Torino, piazza Savoia

An austere monumental stele commemorates the approval of the Siccardi Bill of Law that put an end to the clergy’s privileges in 1850 and gave birth to the concept of a lay State. This was the spirit at the basis of the decision to decorate the four side of the obelisk simple with the names of the 800 Italian townships that enthusiastically supported the popular subscription for construction of the monument.
