The City of Torino welcomed the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, who was given the honorary citizenship of Torino.

December 13th 2007 - Hefei - China

The Deputy Mayor in charge of Promotion, Cooperation and International Affairs of the City of Torino Michele Dell'Utri together with some representatives of the Politecnico of Torino met a delegation of the Municipal Government of Hefei in order to discuss future joint actions.

December 10th 2007 - Consul General of China in Milan

The Mayor of Torino Sergio Chiamparino met the Consul General of China in Milan Zhang Limin.

December 10th 2007 - Seoul - South Korea

The Deputy Mayor in charge of Promotion, Cooperation and International Affairs of the City of Torino Michele Dell'Utri met a delegation led by the Vice Mayor of Seoul Kwon Young Gull for an information exchange between World Design Capitals (Torino 2008 and Seoul 2010).

November 30th 2007 - District of Nanshan, Municipality of Shenzhen - China

The International Affairs Department of the City of Torino met a delegation from the Municipality of Shenzhen - District of Nanshan on the occasion of a visit organised by the Centro Esteri per l'Internazionalizzazione with the support of the Regione Piemonte and the Istituto per il Commercio Estero.

November 12th 2007 - Chinese Vice Minister of Labour and Social Security

The Mayor of Torino Sergio Chiamparino met a Chinese delegation led by the Vice Minister of Labour and Social Security Baoshu Sun.

October 18th 2007 - Japanese Mayors

A delegation made of officers and politicians from several Japanese Cities and led by the Mayor of Yame, Kuniyoshi Noda, the Mayor of Natori, Isoo Sasaki, the Vice Mayor of Fukushima, Kenichi Katahira, and the Vice Mayor of Koriyama, Hisao Oota, met the Vice Mayor of the City of Torino, Tom Dealessandri.

September 23th-26th 2007 - Delegation from Beijing - China

A delegation of specialist of the Public Security Department, led by the Ancient Councillor of the City of Beijing Wang Anshun, met the Deputy Mayor in charge of Human Ressources, Management and Municipal Police of the City of Torino, Giuseppe Borgogno. The delegation was received also by the Prefect of Torino Goffredo Sottile and by the members of the table on security during the 2006 Olympics, in order to get some information on the management of public security looking forward to the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

September 17th-18th 2007 - Delegation from Harbin - China

A delegation of specialist from the Environment Preservation Office of the City of Harbin met the Environment Preservation Department of the City of Torino for some exchanges and technical visits.

September 10th 2007 - Delegation from Tokyo - Japan

A delegation of students from the Asia University of Tokyo, visiting several Italian cities in order to compare the Italian economic and labour system with the Japanese one, met the Deputy Mayor's Office in charge of Labour Policies of the City of Torino.

September 10th 2007 - Delegation from Tokyo - Japan

A delegation of city planners from Tokyo met the City Planning and Private Building Division and the Infrastructures and Mobility Division of the City of Torino for some technical visits.

September 03rd 2007 - Indian Ambassador

The Mayor of Torino Sergio Chiamparino met the Ambassador of India Rajiv Dogra.

May 27th-28th 2007 - City of Shenyang - China

A delegation of the Chinese City of Shenyang led by the Mayor Li Yingjie and the Vice Mayor Song Qi, coming to Torino for technical-economc meetings with the heads of some local enterprises, met the Mayor of Torino Sergio Chiamparino.

May 25th 2007 - City of Seoul - South Korea

A delegation led by the Mayor of Seoul Oh Se-hoon met the Mayor of Torino Sergio Chiamparino and the International Affiars Department to discuss issues related to the candidacy as World Design Capital.

April 27th 2007 - Delegation from the Republic of Korea

A delegation coming from the Republic of Korea visited the city and the Olympic venues in order to study in depth issues related to the organizational structure of the Winter Olympics 2006.

March 22nd-25th 2007 - City of Nagoya - Japan

A team of young football players from the High Schools of Nagoya, twin city since 2005, visited Torino in order to have some training sessions and friendly matches with Cit Torino, Lucento, and the youth team of Torino and Juventus. The football players led by several members of the Nagoya Sport and Promotion Division met the Deputy Mayor in charge of Promotion, Cooperation and International Affairs Michele Dell'Utri.

January 29th-February 6th 2007 - City of Nagoya - Japan

In order to celebrate the twinning between Torino and Nagoya signed in 2005, a delegation of Japanese designers visiting the city has been received by the Deputy Mayor Tom Dealessandri. At the Antichi Chiostri, from January 29th to February 6th, on the initiative of the World Wide Torino project, the graphic designers of the two cities present the tie between Italy and Japan. A meeting of different styles and creativity, waiting for Torino 2008 Design World Capital.

Meeting between the Mayor of Torino Sergio Chiamparino and the Mayor of Kaohsiung, Chu Chen, 2011 Summer Universiade candidate city.

January 12th-16th 2007 - Turin-Shenzhen

The Mayor of Turin, Mr. Sergio Chiamparino, welcomes a huge delegation led by the Mayor of the Chinese City of Shenzhen, Mr. Xu Zongheng, for the signature of a cooperation agreement between the two Cities. Corollary and crowning of the event the Shenzhen Business Conference (12th of January), the concert at the Auditorium RAI of the pianist Yundi Li accompanied by the Shenzhen Symphonic Orchestra (13th of January) and the presentation of Shenzhen candidature for the Universiadi 2011 (16th of January).
