The City of Torino, embodied by the Mayor Sergio Chiamparino, and the Government of the Argentinian autonomous City of Buenos Aires, embodied by the Head of the Government Mauricio Macri, historically linked because of the presence of Piedmontese communities in the Argentinian city, sign a three-years cooperation agreement. The two Cities engage to cooperate in the fields of arts, culture, tourism and promotion and science diffusion, the very immediate trait d’union being structured around the celebrations for the bicentenary in 2010 of the Revolution of May in Argentina and for the 150th Anniversary of Italy’s Unification in 2011 in Torino
taking care of social, cultural and urban development-related issues and through initiatives dedicated to the Rumanian community in Torino.
