Turin is considered to be the capital of contemporary art, with even four institutions which are highly qualified to attend to it, several events, a considerable number of art galleries and a remarkable artistic ferment among young people. Here you will find the home of “Artissima”, the most important Italian trade show, and two events already well-known as “Contemporary” and “Luci d’artista” (Artistic Lights).
Not too far from the railway station, walking up Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, you arrive at the GAM - Galleria Civica d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea (Modern and Contemporary Art City Gallery).
