Instituted in 1978, the Regional Museum of Natural Sciences is housed in the seventeenth-century building of the former Ospedale San Giovanni Battista. Its collections includes zoology, entomology, botany, mineralogy, geology and paleontology, in part from the University museums and in part new acquisitions. It houses numerous temporary exhibits and a library.
