URBACT

Title: URBACT

UrBact, that later became UrBact II, is a European Community program aimed at cities exchanges structured into thematic groups. The City of Torino, in the first phase of UrBact took part in: Udiex, which was about social inclusion; Regenera, regarding integrated approach and regeneration; Citiz@move, about citizens' participation; URB-Health (headed by Torino which hosted in 2007 the final meeting), about quality of life and city dwellers' health conditions; SecurCity - Euromediation (headed by Torino). Since June 2007 the city also took part in the Fast Track Project MILE (Managing Migration at Local Level) - a pilot project sponsored by the EU Commission and UrBact Program.
