The Mayor of the City of Torino Piero Fassino and the Mayor's Advisor for International Affairs Dario Arrigotti went on a mission to Geneva, to promote the Italian and in particular Piedmontese food culture.
In the evening of September 17th the Mayor Fassino, together with Sandrine Salerno, former Mayor and Administrative Councillor of Geneva, and Andrea Bertozzi, the Italian Consul General, took part in the ceremony of inauguration of the Taste Week “Genève à la sauce italienne”. The gastronomic evening, based on typical Piedmontese products, took place at the Bateau Genève and ended with a concert of Paolo Rota.
On Friday September 18th tha Mayor met the United Nations High Commissioner for the Refugees Antonio Guterres, Alessandro Mandanici e Amedeo Trambajolo, from the Permanent Mission of Italy to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, and Guy Rider, Director General of the ILO.
