On 9 September 2021 the City of Torino and the City of Wenzhou signed a Cooperation Pact to formalize the friendship relationship already existing between the two communities and the strong ties connecting Torino and Wenzhou. The Chinese municipality, located in the Zhejiang province, is the native area of around 90% of the Chinese migrants living in Torino.

The agreement aims to boost the cooperation activities in the fields of culture, trade, tourism, university, sport and design.
