On 23 May 2012, during the visit to Torino of a business delegation of the Government of Macedonia, the Mayor of Torino Piero Fassino and the Mayor of Skopje Koce Trajanovski signed a Friendship and Cooperation Agreement covering different areas: urbanism and urban planning, city and public services management, tourism, environment, energy efficiency, education, culture, archaeological and historical heritage, cooperation between professors, researchers and students, academic exchanges, cooperation between the respective public enterprises, Chambers of Commerce and Universities.
