Rotterdam, twin city since 1958, launched the first edition of the wine & food event World Food Festival and dedicated a week end to Piedmont's special dishes to promote the Salone del Gusto.   

Torino, host of the Slow Food Netherlands and Youth Food Movement stand, offered tastings of products from Piedmont cooked in special gastronomic workshops open to the public of the Festival. The event ended with the incredible succes of the cooking demonstration of the chef from Torino Azis Grembi, whose improvers course on Piedmontese traditional risottos and sweets sold out.
