April 10th-12th 2013 EUROCITIES Economic Development Forum

From April 10th to 12th the City of Torino hosted the periodic meeting of the EUROCITIES Economic Development Forum, the network of major European cities of which Torino is member since 1992.  

The event is linked to the role that Torino recently acquired within the network after the election in the EUROCITIES Executive Committee, together with other important European cities: Barcelona, Ghent, Leipzig, The Hague, Copenhagen, Warsaw, Budapest, Stockholm, Nantes, Birmingham and Wien. EUROCITIES is articulated in different forums and one of them is the Economic Development Forum which offers a platform to development policies related to innovation and to local, national and eruopean economic growth policies.

EDF meetings are held twice a year and the first meeting of 2013 was held in Torino from April 10th to 12th. In cooperation with the Technical Secretariat of EUROCITIES, the City prepared a programme of meetings focusing on the attractiveness of cities.About 70 delegates came to Torino from different European cities (Brussels, Manchester, Oslo, Riga, Rotterdam, Brno, Munich, Gjion, Berlin, Wien, Tampere, Dortmund, Amsterdam, The Hague, Goteborg, Nantes, Liverpool, Utrecht, Genoa, Plzeň, Warsaw, Birmingham, Lille, Espoo, Prague).
