Promoted by the City of Torino, Conservatoria delle Cucine Mediterranee and Aiace Torino, the initiative aimed at promoting traditional markets by coupling cinema-quality food. Both evenings, before the 9pm shows under the Farmers' Shelter of Porta Palazzo, free tastings of street food and local excellences were foreseen. On May 8th, after the show of the episode about Torino and Porta Palazzo in October 2013, it was the turn of the second documentary of the series "Food Markets - In the Belly of the City" about Barcelona and its spectacular food market, La Boqueria, realised by Andrea Ferrando Stefano Tealdi. Then followed the medium-lenght movie - that won Documentary prize at the Venice Film Festival in 1957 - Every Day Except Christmas, an hymn at the fruit and vegetable market of Covent Garden, realised by Lindsay Anderson. On May 9th the programme scheduled the show of Agnes Brown, directed and played by Anjelica Houston, and of the short movie "Plac - The Market", directed by the young Croatian director Ana Hušman, which describes the striking market of Zagreb.
