The Mayor of the City of Torino Piero Fassino opened the Italy Angola Business Forum that took place at the Congress Centre of the Unione Industriale and was attended by a massive Angolan ministerial delegation, 50 Angolan companies, 100 Italian companies, thus resulting sellout.
In addition to the Mayor, brought their greetings to audience also Licia Mattioli, President of Union Camere, Florêncio Mariano Da Conceição De Almeida, Ambassador of the Republic of Angola in Italy, Abraão Gourgel, Angolan Minister of Economy. The day then scheduled a plenary session, with interventions, among the others, of Carlo Calenda, Italian Vice Minister of Economic Development, followed by five thematic tables concerning agrobusiness, energy and hidryc resources, industry and mining resources, transports and logistics, tourism, environment and services, which included speeches of important representatives of the Angolan government: the already mentioned Minister of Economy Abraão Gourgel, the Minister of Agriculture Afonso Pedro Canga, the Minister of Energy and Water João Baptista Borges and the Secretaries of State for industry, Kiala Ngone Gabriel, for transports, José João Kovíngua, and for hotel industry and tourism, Alfredo Varo Kaputo.
The Italy Angola business forum was organised by the Embassy of Angola in Italy, the Unione Industriale of Torino, the Piemonte Agency for Investments, Export and Tourism within the framework of the Austral Africa Market Integrated Project, on behalf of the Piedmont Region, Unioncamere Piemonte and of the Chambers of Commerce of Piedmont, with the support of the City of Torino and Assafrica.
