DOMENICO CARPANINI AWARD With the aim of encouraging original historical studies and new archival research, and of collecting the results together in the prestigious new quarters of the town's Historical Archives, the 'Premio Città di Torino' was set up by the municipal Administration in 1998, within the sphere of celebrations for the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of Charles Albert's Statute. The overall amount of the yearly award has been set at 5000 €, to be equally divided among the five best degree theses written on the basis of research carried out, to a significant extent, on archival sources, discussed during every solar year and dealing with various aspects of the city of Turin's history in ancient, medieval, modern, Risorgimento or contemporary eras. |
