Olympic Pigotta Dolls to support vaccinations for children during the Olympic Truce. Italy November 2005 - February 2006

The Pigotta, a rag doll whose sales enable UNICEF to vaccinate thousands of children every year, has now become the Olympic Pigotta.
Thanks to cooperation between TOROC and UNICEF, a special set of 20 Pigotta dolls will be released representing Olympic and Para-Olympic disciplines, all bearing the Torino 2006 logo.
The new Pigotta dolls will be on display during the run-up to the Games, and auctioned at the end of the Olympics.
Proceeds will serve to finance a vaccination program in countries that open special humanitarian corridors, implementing the appeal of the General Assembly of the United Nations to observe the Olympic Truce during the Torino 2006 Games, where UNICEF will conduct immunization campaigns.
