Traffic Torino Free Festival
Turin has been in the national music spotlight for many years. Some of Italy’s most recent hit groups are local to Turin: Subsonica, Mau Mau, Africa Unite, Eiffel 65, Linea 77, the Motel Connection project. Turin has plenty of nightspots, festivals offering first-rate live rock, jazz, blues and new sounds programmes.
Traffic Torino Free Festival follows in the footsteps of the great European festivals, with a series of artistic productions created specifically for this event. The festival is now in its 11th year and has been extremely successful, both with critics and with the public: over 100,000 spectators, from all over the world, listening to concerts by the musicians up on the stage. A free, thrill-packed programme of events, that has the city tapping its feet to the beat of new sounds. The 2008 festival is already in the pipeline.
