The fabolous Juventus of the '50s

Juventus and Torino

In 1897, on a bench in Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, a group of high school students from the Liceo Classico Massimo d’Azeglio founded Juventus. In 1906, a breakaway group of that football team formed Torino, at the Birreria Voigt in Via Pietro Micca, now Bar Norman. Juve and Toro, one with its black and white stripes, the other in garnet red, two spirits and two different perceptions of soccer and its thrills. Two teams, under the Mole, that have filled hearts with burning passion and brought some unforgettable successes: the triumphs of the great Torino captained by Valentino Mazzola and Bacigalupo, Juve’s record-breaking results from the champions past and present: Charles, Sivori, Boniperti, Platini, Vialli and Del Piero.
