Sponsor Village
From February 9 to 27, the Torino 2006 Sponsor Village houses stands and exhibition areas where, from 10 am to midnight, the Main Sponsors of Torino 2006 organise entertainment events, meetings with sports champions, games and shows, all free of charge, for the public of the XX Winter Olympic Games.The Torino 2006 Sponsor Village has been set up in Piazza Solferino, around the ice-rink and the pavilions of Atrium.
The square, converted for the occasion into a pedestrian area with no parking and traffic, has been surrounded by a safety enclosure with five access points for the public protected by metal detectors: two on the Via Cernaia side, one on the Corso Re Umberto side and two at the centre of the square, bordering on Via Meucci and Via Alfieri.
