Between Mountains and Hills
“The city with the most beautiful natural position in the world,” said the great architect Le Corbusier about Turin. This admiration was surely inspired by the visual impact made by the Piedmontese capital. The hills with their thick woods, a natural oasis and fruit groves, dominate Turin and opposite, the Alpine mountainscape, regal, elegant, majestic, is a magnificent backdrop to the city. Then there are the rivers: the Po, the Dora, the Stura and Sangone, crossing the city and adding even more charm to the landscape.
