The University Development
The challenge for taking Turin into a state-of-the-art future also involved work for enhancing the University circuit. This included the University Humanities Faculty district, the new complex located between Corso Regina Margherita and the River Dora. The structure covers an area of over 40,000 square metres, a unique project with the walk through the gardens leading to the 4-storey buildings: one of which houses lecture halls and the other a library.
The Faculty of Psychology and Training Sciences will be located in the old Regia Manifattura Tabacchi, between Corso Regio Parco and the River Po.
The Italgas Media Village, on the banks of the Dora, in the same location as the Faculty of Jurisprudence and Political Sciences, will host journalists during the 20th Winter Olympics, and later will become a university hall of residence.
