The Polytechnic
The Polytechnic doubles in size along the Spina Centrale axis, between Corso Ferrucci and Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. The project envisages the use of over 100,000 square metres freed-up by the railway, which will be used to extend the structure: new lecture halls and research centres, but also great public spaces on the Viale Centrale along the Spina.
The intervention contributes to development and reinforcement of activities at the Polytechnic, which is a point of excellence for Torinese and Italian culture and research. The Polytechnic is a front-line business partner and the proof can be seen in some recent project development, including the inauguration of Italy’s first Italian faculty for Automotive Engineering.
