The Metro
Metro Line 1 is Italy’s first to use VAL (Automatic Light Vehicles) trains, already operating in Paris, Lille, Toulouse, Rennes, Taipei, and at Chicago airport. The trains have an automatic control system so they can operate without onboard staff and guarantee a high standard of safety. The fast journey times mean that up to 30,000 people can be carried in an hour.
