• A Torino brillano tre stelle Torino enters the prestigious “three star” city category assigned by the Michelin Guide: so that Torino now joins Florence, Venice and Rome, thanks to the collaboration of all the Torino inhabitants who always give their visitors a wonderfully warm welcome.

• Festivalstoria IV Edizione. La guerra è finita. Davvero? From 16 to 19 October, in Torino, Savigliano and Saluzzo, the 2008 edition of the Festival tackles the theme of the post-war period in history, seen as phase that is always difficult and often as a continuation, under a different name, of the war that has been declared over.

• TWDC 2008 - Gioiello italiano contemporaneo: tecniche e materiali tra arte e design After showings in Vicenza, Milan and Berlin, the exhibition, at the Accorsi Foundation from 16 October 2008 to 11 January 2009, presents the various aspects of the Italian jewel: from artistic object to industrial product.

• TWDC 2008 - EIDD Design for All Competition endorsed by Icograda. Icograda Design Week Torino 2008 At the Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti, from 17 October to 17 November, an exhibition based on the theme Design for All, a methodology whose objective is social inclusion through design.

• Giappone, lo spirito nella forma. SHODO From 11th October to 23rd November in the historic cellars of the Palazzo Barolo, with an exhibition on SHODO: the art of calligraphy. With over fifty works by master calligraphers and the participation of a Tea Ceremony Master.

• Cecenia. Una guerra e una pacificazione violenta The last twenty years in Chechnya, depicted in a series of photographs, materials, videos and texts, focusing on themes such as violence, terrorism, human rights and the fate of refugees. An exhibition dedicated to Anna Politkovskaya, at the Museo Diffuso della Resistenza, from 8th October to 22nd February 2009.

• Lorenzo Delleani e il suo tempo In the centenary year of the artist’s death, an exhibition that accentuates, through a selection of more than 100 paintings, the direction and originality of his prolific work. From 26 September, 2008 to 18 January, 2009 at Palazzo Bricherasio.

• TWDC 2008 - Trilogia dell’Automobile. Dream An exhibition exploring the history of car design, particularly in Torino, a city of world-renowned designers. The theme is dream cars, the most beautiful and desirable of all vehicles. From 19 September to 23 December, organised by the Biscaretti di Ruffia Museum at the Torino Esposizioni exhibition centre.
