Wines

Wine has written the history of the hills, farmhouses and fine tables in Piemonte. The oenological tradition presents red wines that are known throughout the world: from the Dolcetto and Barbera, excellent with first courses, to Nebbiolo, Barbaresco and Barolo, ideal with red meats.

White wines are also exceptional – such as CorteseRoero Arneis, Gavi or Erbaluce – to be drunk as an aperitif or with fish-based dishes. Rosé wines such as Malvasia and Brachetto or the ever-present Moscato and Spumante go very well with dessert.

Torino is now at the heart of a new project called “La Strada Reale dei Vini Torinesi” (The Royal Road of Wine from Torino), a broad itinerary that runs throughout the province of Torino featuring winegrowers that is characterized by the presence of cellars and (above all) of important naturalistic, cultural and historical appeal.

An authentic “District of wines from the Province of Torino” that has Torino as its capital – in light of its strength as a tourist attraction – as well as being a departure point for tourist itineraries aimed at familiarizing them with the DOC townships in the Val Susa, Pinerolo area, the hills surrounding Torino and the Canavese area.
