Aperitif
The moment of the aperitif is a pleasure, a ritual that is truly Torino. This is a custom that dates back to the late 18th century, to 1786 to be precise. This was the year that Benedetto Carpano created Vermouth: a special wine flavoured with herbs and spices that would become a part of the tradition observed at the foot of the Alps with the use of such prestigious brands as Martini&Rossi and Cinzano. Today Vermouth represents an alternative to wines and cocktails, served with appetizers, sandwiches or savouries
Aperitif time could be a good time to taste some pasta or rice, but also to taste typical cold cuts and cheese from the region or even multiethnic dishes.
The date is always before dinner at locations scattered around the city: cafés under the arcades in the heart of the city or in the Quadrilatero Romano district or at the cafés along the Po that also offer space outdoors to enjoy a drink at Murazzi.
