Resistance, Deportation, War, Rights and Freedom Extended Museum System
The Museo diffuso della Resistenza, della Deportazione, della Guerra, dei Diritti e della Libertà was inaugurated in 2003. It is the fulcrum of a system composed of locations that are part of the city’s and the province’s memory: the Martinetto Colle del Lys sacrarium, the air raid shelter in Piazza Risorgimento, the paths to freedom in Val Pellice. The museum itself houses the National Cinematographic Archive of the Resistance and the Piedmontese Institute for the History of the Resistance and Contemporary Society, two institutions that have collected a unique patrimony for studying the 20th century.
