Within the mind of every human being there exists a myth - escape from life's reality. The thought is a fantasy, it is virtual, and it is hard to make it come true.
Calling this music festival MITO, the Italian word for myth, was an act of courageous brilliance. Being able to enter a sea of music, a borderless celebration open to all, audiences and musicians alike, is a dream come true!
It is with great pride that our Academy participates in this initiative, with some of our best pianists. Indeed, they have won several major international competitions, featuring everything from the classical sonata to the great romantics.
The Academy and our young musicians thank you for the invitation.

Milanese pianist Antonio Zambrini's latest quartet plays Zambrini's original compositions, the most recent of which were composed for Lee Konitz, who recorded them with Zambrini in 2007 for 3 CDs. Other original material was conceived expressly for the new formation. The lyrical, evocative sound of Swiss trumpeter Michael Gassmann, a strong player and well-seasoned on the European scene, opens up further expressive possibilities for the group's original core members, Faraò and Mangialajo. This ensemble has long been known for its great communicativeness and a special musical and creative understanding.
