The Israeli Ambassador to Roma, Ehud Gol, was received by the Deputy Mayor, Marco Calgaro. The meeting was dedicated to discussing the 2006 Torino Olympic Winter Games.
The Palestinian delegation led by the Director General from the Coalition Commission of the Labour Ministry, Mohammed Hasan Yousef Abushama, was received in the Sala Rossa by the Councillor for Labour and Training Policies, Tom Dealessandri, and by Torino-based representatives of the Trade Unions Cgil, Cisl and Uil. The delegation was composed of representatives of the Palestinian Ministry of Labour, the Director of Economic Policies from the Ministry Director of the Gaza Chamber of Commerce. During the meeting the question of peace in the Middle East and the importance of decentralized cooperation were discussed.
