The Ambassador of France in Italy, Yves Aubin del la Messizier, met the Mayor Sergio Chiamparino.
A delegation composed by the Belgian Ambassador Mr. Jean De Ruirt and the Belgian Honorary Consul Mr. Carlo Gamma met the Mayor of Turin Mr. Sergio Chiamparino. The meeting was about the 2006 Winter Olympic Games and the related projects of urban regeneration.
A delegation composed by the Finnish Ambassador to Italy Mr. Alec Aalto and the Honorary Consul Mr. Antonio Dionisio met the Mayor of Turin Sergio Chiamparino.
A delegation composed by French Senators and led by the French Consul General in Turin, Mrs. Odile Remik, was received by the President of Turin City Council, Mr. Alessandro Altamura. The themes of the meeting were: the inadequate communication routes between the two sides of the Western Alps, the crisis of the car industry and the many transformations in the City of Turin.
A delegation from the City of Bagneux (France), led by the Representative of the Twinning Committee between the VI District of the city of Turin and the City of Bagneux, was received by the Vice President of the City Council, Michele Coppola. It was an institutional meeting related with twinning agreement between Bagneux and the VI District of the City of Turin.
The Mayor Sergio Chiamparino met a delegation from Lyon led by Mr Gilles Buna, Councillor responsible for Town Planning and Sustainable Development, attended by Mrs Veronique Billat. This delegation came in Turin within Future Cities, the initiative dedicated to the cities Turin has strong relationships with and organized with Fondazione Atrium and Torino Internazionale. During the meeting, the Planning of Strategic Development and Urban Renewal of the two cities were compared.
On the 8th June 2005, a delegation of representatives of the Regions from Czech Republic met the Secretary General of the Municipality of Turin, Adolfo Repice. The meeting dealt with the discussion of issues concerning the institutional activities of the Secretariat General.
A delegation led by the Consul of Croatia was received by the Councillor Tom Dealessandri. The aim of the meeting was the possibility of opening a provisional consulate of the Republic of Croatia during the Winter Olympic Games.
The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany Mr Michael H. Gerdts was received by the Mayor Sergio Chiamparino.
A delegation led by the President of the General Council of Savoy Mr Jean-Pierre Vial was received by the Mayor Sergio Chiamparino. The theme of the meeting was the Winter Olympics. The Mayor of Albertville (Winter Olympics of 1992) was also present.
The Mayor Sergio Chiamparino met a delegation from London who was visiting Turin for the Future Cities project; an initiative dedicated to the cities Turin has important relationships with, and is organised in collaboration with Fondazione Atrium and Torino Internazionale. Mr Greg Clark, Councillor for Local Development at the British Vice Prime Minister's Office was part of the delegation.
The General Consul of Croatia, Mr Andro Knego, met the Mayor Sergio Chiamparino. They discussed the possibility of a presentation of Croatia in Turin during the year, and the Croatian sports delegations during the Turin Olympics.
The Vice President of the Rhone Alpes Region, Mr Philip Thierry, was received in Turin by the Mayor Chiamparino, to discuss the possible collaboration initiatives in view of the Olympic Games.
