The Ambassador of Venezuela Rodrigo Oswaldo Chaves Samidio, met the Deputy Mayor Marco Calgaro. During this institutional meeting, a possible exchange of experiences as concerns the water management has been discussed.
A delegation of the City of Richmond, made up of the Director of the Department for Economic Development, Mrs. Lee Malleu, and by the Director of the Department for the Policies of Development, Mrs. Signi Solmundson, met the representatives of the International Affairs Department. Theme of the meeting: the international relations during the Winter Olympic Games.
The Ambassador of Canada in Italy, Robert R. Fowler, together with the Consul General Margaret Huber, met the Mayor Sergio Chiamparino. Theme of the meeting: the Winter Olympic Games, Torino 2006 and Vancouver 2010.
A delegation from Salt Lake City will visit the City of Turin. The delegation, led by the Mayor Rocky Anderson, will leave by bicycle from the Castle of Stupinigi and will join the City Hall of Turin in Piazza Palazzo di Cittą. In the morning, the Mayor of Turin will meet the Mayor of Salt Lake City who, on that occasion, will deliver a message of peace, solidarity and conservation inspired by the Olympic spirit which strictly links the two cities.
The Ambassador Mr Eduardo Araja, with the Honorary Consul in Turin, Mrs Vivien Jones S., was received by the Mayor Sergio Chiamparino. The aim of the meeting was the discussion about entrepreneurial and cultural exchanges.
A delegation led by the Consul Mrs Deborah E. Grace was met by the Mayor Sergio Chiamparino. The aim of the meeting was the opening of a consulate to support American citizens that will come to Turin during the Winter Olympic Games.
The Mayor Sergio Chiamparino met a delegation from Vancouver, in Turin for the 'Future Cities' program, an initiative dedicated to the cities Turin has important relations with, and organised in collaboration with Fondazione Atrium and Torino Internazionale. The delegation was led by Jim Green, Deputy Mayor of the City of Vancouver, and was particularly interested by the Olympic themes, as Vancouver will host the 2010 Olympics.
