Agreement with Fès (Morocco)
The City of Torino, embodied by the Mayor Sergio Chiamparino, and the Government of the Urban Community of Fès, embodied by the Mayor Hamid Chabat, linked because of the the solid relations built during the last five years, sign a Cooperation Agreement. The two Cities engage to cooperate in the fields of heritage protection, e-government computerization of the Public Administration and culture with special attention to the exchanges between the Festival des Musiques Sacrées du Monde of Fès and MI.TO. Settembre Musica. To seal the signature, the two Cities reciprocally tributed each other with typical elements of the respective street furniture: a fountain in traditional hand-painted ceramic installed at the District House of San Salvario and a traditional "toret" which will be placed in Fès.

DELEGATIONS
- September 23rd-27th 2010: the Mayor of the City of Torino Sergio Chiamparino, the Deputy Mayor of the City of Torino in charge of Culture and of the 150th Anniversary of Italy's Unification, Fiorenzo Alfieri, and the Deputy Mayor in charge of Demographic, Electoral, Statistical services, Cooperation and International Affairs of the City of Torino, Giovanni Maria Ferraris, met the Mayor of the City of Fès Hamid Chabat for signing a cooperation agreement.
- March 23rd-27th 2010: the Mayor of the City of Torino Sergio Chiamparino and the Deputy Mayor of the City of Torino in charge of Culture and of the 150th Anniversary of Unification of Italy, Fiorenzo Alfieri, met the Vice Mayor in charge of Culture and Sport of the City of Fès, Hicham Chakour.
