Il monumento al re che governò l’Italia fino alle soglie del Novecento si compone di una complessa allegoria, che celebra la dinastia sabauda e ne esalta gli antichi natali, mettendo in scena un muscoloso guerriero celtico che indica con la spada alcuni simboli della real casa, ai piedi di una colonna su cui un’aquila trafitta ricorda la morte di Umberto I per mano dell’anarchico Bresci.

This monument to the King who reigned over Italy until the beginning of last Century consists of a complex allegory that celebrates the Savoy Dynasty and exalts its ancient origins by displaying a muscular Celt warrior, whose sword points at some symbols of the Royal House, at the feet of a column on which a stabbed eagle commemorates the death of King Umberto I at the hands of anarchist Bresci.
