The figure of King Victor Emanuel I stands out in front of the Gran Madre Church. His wig and the classical style of his tunic powerfully summarise the image of the anti-Napoleon King, returning to his Kingdom at the end of fifteen years of exile to restore a regime that was to last for just a few years.
