MUSEO NAZIONALE DELLA MONTAGNA DUCA DEGLI ABRUZZI
Founded
in 1874, this museum houses comprehensive documentation on all aspects
of the mountains: the environment, nature, the mountain dwellers' traditions
and mountaineering in all its various forms. It also holds exhibitions
and houses two centres of documentation and historical film library.
