than 2.000 different types of plants from all over the world are cultivated
in the gardens. Included within the various collections are trees, shrubs,
ferns, water plants, succulents, carnivorous species, officinal and poisonous
plants. In recent years the collection of wild plants from Piedmont has
been considerably extended for the study and reproduction of the rarest
species in partucular.
