The
Italian Foundation for Photography was established in 1992 with the aim
of spreading photographic culture in Italy and promoting Italian photographers
abroad. It runs a Restoration Laboratory, an Image Cataloguing Section,
a Study Centre with a programme of seminars and meetings, as well as the
library with over a thousand books and an exhibition space. The foundation
also organizes the International Photography Biennial, acquires new collections,
and promotes missions, scholarships and training periods.
