The great men of the past
Paintings and sculptures showing famous protagonists as Vittorio Amedeo II Duke of Savoy who risked both his life and his duchy and conquered a kingdom, Prince Eugenio the greatest military genius of the time who won in Turin an important battle, or Pietro Micca a hero who symbolizes the determination of Turin’s people to resist to the enemy at all costs.

Museum halls

The two halls of the museum offer a wide range of texts, maps, plastic models and relics which enable the visitor to understand the historical and social background as well the military situation of Turin in the summer of 1706.

Relics and trophies

The flags which fluttered on the battlefield during the battle of Turin, the arms and body armours employed by the fighters, mainly by those, like Pietro Micca, who fought the underground war.

Plastic models

Two large plastic models give the visitor an insight of the background of the battle of Turin. The first one shows the complex site of the battle including town, rivers and hills. The second one describes the siege operations concerning the citadel.
Other plastic models explain the techniques employed  in tunnelling and carrying out mine and countermine operations.
