Travelling by airplane
Information
The airplane is for sure the most comfortable and fastest means
of transport. Once decided the destination, for having information
on the most convenient flights and the rates, you can have a look at the Internet site or go to the travel
agencies with aerial ticket office, in the centres of the airlines
companies in the cities and in the airports personally, or calling
the toll numbers (free) or call centers of airlines
companies.
The flight reservation and the purchase of the ticket can be carried
out through agency, airline company or via Internet.
In case of purchase of the electronic ticket you can pay it with
the credit card and subsequently you will take the boarding paper
directly in airport.
Because competition created in recent years between airlines, they offer different rates for the same routes, but those who run low cost flights usually offer the cheapest rates.
Line Flights, charter
flights, no frills/low cost flights and last minute
Line Flights: they have a timetable, a city of departure
and of arrival fixed every day of the week. They are managed
by the various airlines, both flag companies, namely controlled
by the States that cover most of the routes from and for the
country they belong to, and they can be private. In order
to obtain convenient prices, it is necessary to reserve with
considerable advance.
Charter Flights: they are occasional flights
hired by tourist organizations in established dates and timetables
and characterized by the inferior cost of tickets in comparison
with the line flights. They can be useful if you have to reach
a place that is not connected directly with the line flights.
No frills or low cost Flights: They are flights at
low cost going to Europe at very convenient rates since the
services on board and those at the airport are reduced to
the minimum and secondary landings are used even if they are
often more uncomfortable to reach. Moreover the number of
the places on every flight is reduced and it is necessary
to carry out the reservation with large advance. Generally
the purchase of the ticket takes place at the same time of
the flight reservation. The reservations occur by telephone directly to
the Company or via Internet. The tickets sale does not take place
through intermediaries.
Last minute Flights: these flights of airlines are remained unsold and bookable starting from 15 days before the date of departure. You need to go on the dates indicated and you can be booked on-line.
