Una delle ragioni per cui continuo a fare fumetti è che mi dà l’opportunità di disegnare libri stampati. Mi piacciono i processi meccanici o chimici, come quelli per stampare o fare un film. Il fumetto è stato inventato per essere un mass-media, ma la tecnica che lo rendeva possibile agli inizi del XX secolo oggi è superata, il che ne fa invece un mezzo prezioso ed esclusivo, come un vecchio macchinario.

One of the reasons I keep doing comics is that it gives me the opportunity to design printed books. I like mechanical or chemical processes, like printing and filmmaking. Comics were invented to be a mass-medium, but the technique that made this possible in the beginning of the XX century is now long outdated and instead makes it feel precious and exclusive, like an old machine.
