La Big band è composta dagli allievi della JST.
L?orchestra, diretta da Gianni Virone, saxofonista e compositore, vive da cinque anni in seno alla Jazz School Torino e costituisce un eccellente laboratorio di studio del repertorio e delle pratiche delle grandi orchestre Jazz. La JST BB affronta un repertorio misto, fatto di brani didatticamente adatti anche ai principianti e arrangiamenti più impegnativi, che permettono di approfondire lo studio del suono di gruppo, del fraseggio e della dizione, cuore dell’espressività insita nella prassi esecutiva del Jazz.
The Big Band consists of JST students.
The orchestra, conducted by Gianni Virone, saxophonist and composer, has been living for five years within the Jazz School Torino and is an excellent laboratory for studying the repertoire and practices of the great Jazz orchestras. The JST BB deals with a mixed repertoire, made of pieces didactically suitable for beginners and more demanding arrangements, which allow to deepen the study of group sound, phrasing and diction, the heart of the expressiveness inherent in the performing practice of Jazz.
