The waiting time for the release of the residence permit sent through the postal kit is reduced to around seven months compared to the eleven-month wait of a few months ago. From the moment the postal kit is sent, the convocation times for depositing the finger prints and the photos acquisition are around sixty days. Add to the above-mentioned period the times for the subsequent phases in the following way:

• around forty days for the preliminary stage carried out by the Immigration Office
• around eighty days for producing the residence permit by the State Print Office with headquarters in Rome
• around thirty days for the acknowledgement of the working permit by the Immigration Office and the delivery of the document to the local Police Headquarters.

Everything requires around seven months for a correctly filled in copy and therefore without any issues.

These are the optimal times and modalities, however, it could happen that one user who sent in the postal kit after another user could be called previously. This does not necessarily mean that the user subsequently called had presented an incomplete or problematic application. It could be due to imperfections of a complex and articulated system such as the one for the generation of residence permits.

For the reunion with children younger than 14 years old, they need to send the postal kit.
