Moving around town in AugustSome useful information for those who have to move around town between the end of July and the beginning of September: as happens every year, from 11 to 23 August (inclusive) the parking charges in the blue parking areas will be suspended. Terra MadreOnce again this year, during the third edition of 'Terra Madre - Incontro mondiale delle comunità del cibo' (Terra Madre – World Meeting of Food Communities), scheduled to take place from 23 to 27 October 2008, the Municipal Council asks the people of Torino to host one or more of the participants in the delegations of the 1500 food communities from over 150 nations. Municipal Police HeadquartersFrom Monday 28 July to Sunday 31 August, the Ufficio Cassa e Verbali (Cash Desk and Statements Office) of the Municipal Police Headquarters at number 74 Via Bologna and the cash desks of the Centro-Crocetta station at number 2 bis Via Giolitti and the station at number 195 Corso Peschiera will be open from Monday to Friday, from 9.15 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. [2008.08.13]
