The guidebook: 'Foreigners and temporary work: a guide to worker rights' analyses the alignment of temporary work contracts in Italian labour legislation with the opportunity for foreigners employed on such terms to:
Obtain an entry permit for work reasons and obtain the first residence permit.
Renew a worker’s residence permit.
Convert a residence permit allowed by law and issued for other reasons into a residence permit for work.
Obtain a European Communities Residence Card for those residing in the country long-term (new definition of the residence permit).
Register with the National Health Service.
Access and apply to be allocated council accommodation.
The guidebook was prepared by the Association Un.It.I. – Italian Immigrant Union of Friuli Venezia Giulia and financed by funds for the Regional Immigration Law of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region.
