'EC Long-Term Residence Permit'
The residence permit is called the 'EC Long-Term Residence Permit'. Foreign citizens wishing to obtain it, should submit the following documents:a current residence permit valid for at least 5 years; a yearly income equivalent to not less than the annual social welfare allowance; suitable accommodation that falls within the minimum criteria described in regional legislation governing public residential housing. Registering a birth
The birth of a child in Italy must be reported to the registrar’s office of the municipality or to the management of the hospital in which it occurs, within 10 days of the event. To make this report it is necessary to have a valid identification document and a birth certificate [certificato di nascita] issued by the hospital. The integration agreement
The agreement is a tool to facilitate the integration of the foreign. With the conclusion of the agreement, the foreigner is committed to achieving specific objectives of integration that must be achieved during the period of  validity of residence permit: acquire an adequate knowledge of Italian language; acquire an adequate knowledge and civic culture; ensure the fulfillment of compulsory education of minor children.
