Social security cheques for non-EU citizens

Starting from 01.01.2009, the necessary requirements for non-EU citizens to receive social security cheques will change.

The documents to be presented are:

  • 1- ID card
  • 2- tax code (blue card)
  • 3- spouse’s tax code (blue card)
  • 4- INPS self-certification
  • 5- in the case of homeowners, property revenue
  • 6- in the case of tenants, a copy of the rental contract with photocopies and receipts for payment of rent in the year in which the social security application is presented
  • 7- photocopy of decree of separation or divorce (translated into Italian)
  • 8- declaration relating to subsidies issued by the competent authority
  • 9- last year’s income form
  • 10- self-declaration regarding previous employment and current means of financial support
  • 11- consent to the processing of data (privacy)
  • 12- declaration of residence in institutes or rest homes
  • 13- complete bank or post office account details (iban and bic codes)
  • 14- residency certificate
  • 15- birth certificate issued by the country of origin
  • 16- certificate of entitlement to foreign pensions (translated into Italian) issued by the country of origin, stating annual amount in euros
  • 17- authenticated copy of passport
  • 18- authenticated copy of residency permit
