Getting better-Health education through video and a picture-story

1. 'Getting Better', a video dealing with health education and contraception designed for Nigerians, will be presented to the Turin audience on 7 June at 9:30 PM, Sala Modotti dell'Hiroshima Mon Amour (Via Bossoli 83 - Torino).

The movie, directed by Antonio Lucarini and featuring non-professional actors, is shot entirely in pidgin English, a Creole combining English with the tribal languages spoken along the coasts of the Gulf of Guinea.

Some 'video-lessons' in English will also accompany the movie.

The original soundtrack, entitled 'Iyeme Protect Urself', was recorded in Lagos, Nigeria.

2. The picture-story 'About love...... safe love', created by the H.I.N. Association (Health Information Network), is intended to reach immigrants with a message about the prevention of sexually-transmitted diseases.
