Chiesa di San Francesco d’Assisi

The original building dating back to the 13th century has undergone reconstruction which began in 1608. The present structure is by Bernardo Antonio Vittore assisted by Mario Ludovico Quarini and dates from 1761.
In the interior of the church the main altar is in polychrome marble and designed by Vittone and the altarpiece representing La vergine con il Bambino e i Santi Anna, Francesco e Caterina ( The Virgin with Child and the Saints Anna, Francesco and Caterina) is attributed to Federico Zuccari.
