Chiesa del Corpus Domini

The church was built to the plans of Ascanio Vitozzi between 1603 and 1675 and recalls the Eucharistic Miracle of 1453. The church interior is decorated in black and red marble to the designs of Benedetto Alfieri (1753). The shrine of the sumptuous main altar was re-designed by Bernardo Antonio Vittone in 1769. The altar in the second chapel on the right is the work of Filippo Juvarra (1721 -1724).
